Please be advised that Ellucian is disabling the TLS v1.0 and TLS v1.1 encryption protocols for inbound and outbound communication for Ellucian eTranscripts Send in Test environment, effective 09/25/2019 @ 11:00 PM EST. Post this, institutions can use the TLS v1.2 protocol only to establish connectivity between ERP (Banner, Colleague and Power Campus) to eTranscripts Send application or vice-versa. This notification details the maintenance timeline and planned work.

Note: This update is a post-release activity as a follow-up to the TLS v1.2 release in August for Ellucian eTranscripts Send, and is intended to all clients using Ellucian eTranscripts.

Window: 09/25/2019 @ 11:00 PM to 09/26/2019 @ 12:30:00 AM Eastern

Activity: Desupport TLS v1.0 and TLS v1.1 for eTranscripts Send 1.3 application in Test environment and allow TLS v1.2 communication only.

Impact: The test environment will not be available during the update. Post the update, users can make inbound and outbound communication in eTranscripts using the TLS v1.2 protocol only.

Dependencies: None

Client Action:  Disable TLS v1.0 and TLS v1.1 protocols in test and enable TLS v1.2 protocol only on your eTranscripts API server (cloud to ERP connectivity) and TLS v1.2 on ERP side (ERP to Cloud connectivity for Order Status update) in order to support TLS v1.2 connectivity only. Finally test your connectivity by placing a test Order from your vendor site to cloud application https://etranscriptstest.elluciancloud.com/
Vendor Action: Verify the connectivity works from your site and cloud test application https://etranscriptstest.elluciancloud.com/ by placing sample order request.

Verify: The Cloud Services team and Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) will be carefully monitoring all activity during and after maintenance is completed to confirm all services are operating correctly.

Contact: If you have any questions or concerns about this notification or would like to discuss any aspect of the upcoming maintenance, please contact your Customer Success Manager who can arrange a meeting with the appropriate technical personnel.

Thank You,
Your Ellucian Cloud Services Team
